Pioneer Day!

So once again this week has been super crazy and what not!

Monday night we got a new investigator! Her name is Julia and she's new to the area, she's been looking for a church to attend and it shocked her that we showed up so fast! She is really excited about coming this Sunday and to to learn more about what we believe! Yay!

Member friend Heather

Tuesday morning we got out of the house early and helped out with the Catholic charities! It was so good to help them again! Every month they come from Lake City to Lake Butler. I got to see all the office ladies again! It was a lot of fun and a lot of work! Afterwards we had district meeting and then the Macclenny sisters joined us for lunch, one of the sisters sister Tsai is from Taiwan. She used to serve in Lake Butler and she loved being back!

Wednesday was the start of our crazy month with trade offs! We woke up at 5:00 so we could make it to Kingsland Georgia in time! Kingsland zone meetings are wonderful! It's been so much fun to see the
differences in both zones that we serve with! Our theme in Kingsland is "let your light so shine" once a week everyone in the zone is going to participate in a certain finding event! We are going to get out there and share this gospel! Yay! After zone meeting we took our legendary picture and then head to lunch with all the sisters! So funny story, my old companion sister Snelgrove is in my zone! It was so good to catch up with her again! After that, we had our trade off with the Kingsland sisters, Sister Gibb is a new missionary here and
her dad was the principal at Legacy Elementary! So her, sister Dixon and I all went to school together haha! I went on the trade off with Sister Butler. She is an incredible missionary! The sister are whitewashing and doing a great job! It was so fun to be with Sister Butler, we had quite an adventure, doing service, teaching the scripture class, and finding help to jump start our car...twice... Yup the battery died twice in an hour hahah!

Thursday we traded back and headed to dinner with Sister Anisha. She is so wonderful! She has been really looking for missionary experiences and trying to invite her friends to church! Hurray for member missionary work!

Friday was a lot of fun! We helped paint an investigators shed. it's looking really good! It was sure hot though! David was sitting there talking with us and just sitting down he was sweating! Haha then we had our weekly planning. Afterwards we went to our neighbors house and taught her more about the church! She used to meet with the missionaries beforehand but stopped investigating. We have been meeting with her again and she might come to the Book of Mormon class!  Later that night we had a miracle! We have been meeting with a young man named Trey. He works 3 jobs and is super busy, so it's rare we get to meet with him, but he was finally available Friday night! We called one of the young men in the Ward to come with us and Seth accepted! We all met up at the lake and taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. Trey has been looking for a church, and attended our in the Lake City Ward. He always remembered how nice the people were and always wanted to come back! We had a powerful lesson and Invited him to be baptized on August 29th, out of no where tons of Mosquitoes came and started attacking us! But the spirit was so strong so we just ignored them, and Trey said yes! He really wants to turn his life around and put God first! Yay!!!  We were covered in bites, but worth it!

Saturday Pioneer Day!! We headed up to help them set up. They has snow cones, homemade ice cream, a blow up water slide, and a huge bowl of boiled peanuts! It was so much fun! Slowly all the members Started
showing up and getting lunch ready. All the kids were on the slide, and a few adults went too! We had a great time fellow shipping everyone and serving ice cream! The missionaries in the stake came as well. I
got to see some of the members from Deep Creek! I love them! It was a lot of fun, and hot really hot when it was time to clean up, one of the elders actually did an "ice bucket challenge" for president and
sister Craig! Haha it was really funny! That night we had volleyball.  Some of the youth brought there friends and we had a great time together! Brooke Starling and 2 other recent converts came, we took some pictures out in the rain! Haha
