5 months already, Time Flys! :(

Missionary work = always having dry knees and elbows from praying so much

So last week was transfers and I luckily I'm staying! No one in my district is moving so that's been nice! Priesident Craig scared us though! So the day of transfer calls is when president calls everyone to set up the trainers and to extend callings. And so on Monday...we get a call! Sister Beaver and I just stared at each other! One of us was going to get called to train! But then it just ended up he needed more information about our car accident! Whew! Bad news though sister Beaver is no longer allowed to drive on her mission. We have to take our car to the shop this Tuesday to get fixed, we don't know how long it will take, but we got our bikes! Haha

Also it just so happened ironically, our district meeting was a training on our cars and bikes! Haha it was way fun. One of the elders here is actually a mechanic, he even put together his own "car training video" we watched that and then went out side to change a tire and charge a battery! The elders kept picking on us sister to do all the work haha a sisters gotta learn sometime I guess!

We had a funeral this week for a family in first Ward. Brother Randolfs mother passed away so all the missionaries went. Brother Randolfs is such a funny man! He's in his 70s And comes to our meetings; when we all leave to go home he always makes a comment that he's going to the bar, or going to get arrested! Even after the funeral he thanked us for the support, and said he would invite us the the funeral of the next person he murders! Haha

We often see a less active named Sister Cochran. She has a bad back so she can't always come to church but other than that she's very spiritually strong. She is your classic southern girl! She's super friendly and she says "y'all better come back now ya hear" we went over and read the scriptures with her,and we even painted her toes! She's so fun. one of the members sister Fye took us to longhorn steakhouse! Yum we are spoiled!

We also had a sushi night! Sister Davis loves sushi and Sister Beaver (being the part Korean that she is) knows how to make it! So we went to dinner and had miso soup, sushi, teriyaki chicken, and we even made mochi, it's a Japanese dessert its gummy and tastes like vanilla.
Goals, goals, goals!! This has been an intense week! First in district meeting we have been making a lot of plans to get our people to church! Our numbers have been up for new investigators and lessons, but church attendance is down. We made some more plans to help our people come.

Then for weekly planning sister Beaver and I took a good look at our missionary work, we really targeted a lot of things to work on! We want to be super consecrated this transfer and really use every second we have to teach! We want to see a baptism so we are trying really hard to see miracles!

Then at church we had Ward conference. And the whole third hour we talked about missionary work! We introduced the Ward mission plan. They sent around handouts for every single family to work on goals that will help them learn preach my gospel, fellowship investigators, find people for the missionaries, and become everyday missionaries! We are so excited! There is so much work to be done here and now this with the Ward is going to help out a ton! The Ward finally is learning how important they are in missionary work!

We've had 2 more Reassignments and referrals! We have a huge list of potentials that we are trying, so hopefully they turn out to be promising! We are really trying to use the Book of Mormon as often as we can! It really is the keystone of our religion! Reading it everyday has changed me so much!

All in all Ocala is great! I love the people and the Ward! I never want to leave it! My companion and I are having a great time! (I tried to prank her with a whoopie cushion on her chair! Lol)

I love you all

Everywhere in Florida they have these air-plants. They don't have roots and they just hang around! Haha

Busy Week!

This week has been very eventful!

Well we started the week off right with a car accident! So we live with a member in their mother in law suite. And we share the same driveway. So here we are going to start our day, and sister Beaver backs into the members back bumper! Now I know what your thinking, aren't missionaries supposed to back each other up? Yes they are, and yes I did. So I'm outside behind the car backing her up, then she started to turn super fast so I motioned her to stop, but she wasn't looking, so I started to scream at her, and she didn't hear me... So now we get to deal with a car accident. I don't know how long it will take to repair the car, but we are going to be on bikes again!

On a better note, we got to hear from an Apostle of the Lord twice!!  Elder Neil Anderson came to Florida with his wife for a stake conference and for a missionary conference, luckily I was at both! It was so great to hear from him, he is such a funny guy! He was telling us all these experiences but he would forget a name so he would turn around and ask his wife all these questions it was really good. In the missionary conference, we did a little bit of a question and answer session. A missionary asked how to keep our faith strong and growing. He said that faith comes by living the gospel and being obedient. That way we personally see the blessings. He stressed a lot of all the little things like prayer, scripture study, sacrament and other church
activities. It's interesting that all those simple primary answers really are the things that will continue to make us strong in our faith!

Sister Beaver receiving some serious light from her studies!

This week one of our investigators came to the family history center. She is progressing slowly in the gospel but she has a huge interest in family history! She loves the center and the people there, her neighbor is a member so she came with her. It's been really great, now all we got to do is get her in the chapel for Sunday!

Well the field if definitely white here, but we've been having a hard time knowing where to look! I have been praying to find those individuals who are ready for the gospel... And I tell you what, God answers prayers! In just this last week we had 5 referrals and Reassignments! We go to an addiction recovery class for one of my investigators, but this last time he didn't come.. But the same night a new gator walked in. He's sick of his addictions And wants to shape up and start to be the father his wife and kids need, his family isn't too religious but he wants to be the leader and have his family follow in his footsteps to include God in their life's! So just because our investigator didn't come, we got another one!  We got a reassignment from the other sisters. Her name is Cassandra, the missionaries were tracting and they stopped by her mother house
when Cassandra just happened to be there. Her husband had a Book of Mormon but lost it when they moved, the sisters gave her more and we went over to teach the restoration! It was an incredible lesson. She
is so excited about the Book of Mormon and is going to come to church next Sunday.
Some cute houses.

Then on Sunday, these 2 girls just showed up and were asking for a blessing. One was a member and her younger sister wasn't, but she wanted to bring her self closer with God! The elders gave her a blessing and we got her information to share with her more! She likes the other churches around here because they are in the south the churches could easily be mistaken for a dance party.... Some churches have coffee shops and food inside them. Others have strobe lights and loud music.. It's a little soon to tell if they will fully accept the gospel yet, we have a lot of faith about all of them and are very excited for big miracles to happen!

we went thrifting for PDAY and
tried on old dresses haha

We also had 3 less actives that are coming back to church this Sunday!  We did some service for a member who is about to move and she told us she wants to see us in church one more time before she goes to her
next Ward! Then we have the Coffeys, they are a part member family and only the father is a member but he went inactive. Now that he has a family of his own he wants to instill in his children the great memories he had growing up! (More investigators!) the last is sister Carropiet, she's been inactive for a long time. She's married to a nonmember who is very set in his own religion. It's hard for her to be
motivated to come but this week she is going to try!

Searching for new people to teach...

That is super sad to hear about Dave. What day is the ward fasting ?

This week has been really slow and I actually didn't even take any pics this week. But I am doing very well. We have been trying to find a lot of new people to teach because the ones we are working with are  progressing very slowly! Haha but at least they are progressing!  I love you so much and it looks like you arena empty nester again haha, how do you like the new Ward? Or I guess I should say new building? Haha

Love you! Also here is that skit I was telling you about from the Christmas party

Happy New Year!!!

A great new year!

We started the new year off by getting some sushi! It was a fun lunch we had! We also went and tried some potentials up in Citra, which is about 40 minutes away, but hey new month new miles so we decided it was a good use. We drove through a jungle to get there. We saw a guy named Joseph Smith, and he really wanted a Book of Mormon so he could actually know what everyone teases him about! He asked some great questions and overall likes every Mormon he meets. He said he would come to church next week! We also saw a less active named Anthony, and he lives in Anthony... Haha but he's great.   His wife never attended church but they both want their kids to grow up in a church and he remembered how great it was to grow up in the church, we don't know why he left but he does want to come back.

We met with Michelle a lot this week, she has been loving the Book of Mormon! I showed these cards that follow the events in the bible and where the Book of Mormon took place. She was really fascinated! She's
set to be baptized in April just to make sure she can get clean, I hope I will still be here for that!
I saw a pillar of light, exactly over my head..

New Years was fun, we both were all snuggled up in our beds sound asleep... HAPPY NEW YEAR! Haha missionary holidays!

We have a conference with Elder Neil Anderson this month! We are very excited! Missionaries work very hard but sometimes we do like to have a little fun.  I am including a couple of lip sync songs below and a couple of me scaring my roommate with silly string.  Anyway I love you all!
